HAIBB is operational 7 days a week, carrying urgent medical equipment and samples between the Highland’s hospitals and other NHS establishments.

Vehicles are based in Inverness, Wick, Oban & Fort William with rider / driver volunteers throughout the Highland area. Some use their own vehicles to complete Highland and Islands Blood Bike journeys.

In addition to local runs we will also carry samples to hospitals and labs in Elgin, Aberdeen, Perth, Dundee, Edinburgh and Glasgow.

As a member of the Nationwide Association of Blood Bikes We will also run relays with other Blood Bike groups to provide a free service to the NHS throughout the entire UK. 

This service is entirely funded by donations and provided by volunteers.
