Yamaha Bloodbike

Welcome Hero to the Fleet

Do you remember a little while back we were awarded 10k by Dounreay Site Restoration Limited to enable us to Purchase a motorcycle for the Caithness area. So, with a massive thank you to Dounreay Site Restoration Ltd, we now have purchased a Yamaha FJR1300 and this has been Named “Hero” and is now based In Wick and has now commenced active duty for the North.
Dounreay Site Restoration Ltd also supplied the name “Hero” which came from Chris Simpson a mechanical engineer decommissioning the site’s nuclear reactors. “My idea for the bike would be to name it ‘Hero’ after all the amazing NHS heroes who have done a great job throughout this pandemic,” he said.
Big welcome to HERO! And huge thanks to Dounreay Site Restoration Ltd
Pictured next to HERO are our President Ross Sharp and fellow rider Davy Manson. Wishing HERO all the best on active duty covering the North.
